We appreciate your understanding and pray for all during this unusual and stressful time. If you have any additional questions please feel free to contact us. We are also very proud of our dedicated staff as they manage this new challenge in a professional and often creative fashion. We will continuously review our training and company policies to address new developments. We are always dedicated to everyone’s health and safety.
Please understand that during this time we may ask questions like, “Is anyone in the home ill or has been ill”, we are not implying anything. We are only trying to ensure everyone’s safety and ensure we have a safe and healthy work staff able to continue performing critical services, especially as we approach the hot summer months.
Our goal is to continue being able to maintain our customer’s HVAC needs, refrigeration needs, and food preservation and cooking ability. That goal can only be reached by cooperation between our employees and customers, to ensure everyone’s health and safety.
The increased time people will be staying inside their homes and preparing food at home creates a situation where maintaining the HVAC system, food refrigeration equipment, and cooking equipment critical. Many businesses have refrigeration needs for food preservation as well as environmental requirements for cooking foods safely.
“Based on the definitions contained in the guidance, the activities conducted by HVACR manufacturing, distribution, installation and service are “essential” and are collectively, a critical industry. The continued operation of your business is viewed as “essential” and necessary in order to perform our role in supporting the residential, commercial, and refrigeration end markets.”
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Cyber Security and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has issued federal guidance to states and municipalities regarding “essential” work.
In addition to the training our employees received we began the process of taking every employee’s temperature each morning before beginning work. Since then we have had an additional training session and began asking all customers if anyone in the home is ill prior to dispatching service crews.
At Cole Air Conditioning Co Inc, the safety of our customers and employees is paramount. On March 13, 2020, we implemented the U.S. Department of Labor’s OSHA 3990-03-2020, “Guidance on Preparing Workplaces for COVID-19”.
